The 220kv post type horizontal insulators consisting of a load-bearing cylindrical insulating solid core, a housing and end fitings attached to theinsulating core. it is intended to be subjected to cantilever, tensile and compressive loads.eed-fittings are made of ductile iron, and al ferrous parts, except stainless steel and aluminium shal be galvanized, and integral component orformed part of an insulator intended to connect it to a supporting.the top clamp for the conductor to be used for the transmission line are madeof aluminium alloy.
