With the transformation and insulation of overhead distribution lines, the traditional design of insulated lines is difficult to withstand the role of direct or induced lightning, because the overvoltage at the connection between the wire and the insulator first breaks down the insulation layer of the wire and then causes the insulator to flashover, so that the arc burns at the breakdown of the insulation layer, and the wire is broken in a very short time. Lightning breakage of overhead insulated wire has become another difficult problem in power system, and the overhead insulated wire lightning protection grounding clip can not only play the role of grounding wire clip, but also solve this phenomenon effectively.

Principle and characteristics

Install the cable clamp on the insulated wire near the line insulator. The puncture plate of the lightning protection grounding cable clamp can penetrate the insulation layer of the wire to form an electrical connection between the lightning protection grounding ring and the wire. During normal operation, there is a large air gap between the lightning protection grounding ring and the insulator connecting plate, and no current passes through. When the induced overvoltage of the conductor exceeds a certain value during lightning, flashover is caused between the grounding arm of the lightning protection grounding wire ring and the insulator ground floor, forming a short circuit channel. The continuous power frequency arc burns on the burning arm of the grounding wire ring, releasing the overvoltage energy to protect the conductor from burns.
